SIGNED PORTRAIT WITH A QUOTE FROM RHAPSODY IN BLUE

An intense sepia 6" X 8" portrait of the young George Gershwin, matted to an overall size of 10" X 13", beautifully inscribed and signed by the composer to the lower matte in dark fountain pen ink, "For Mrs. Gerson, all best wishes, George Gershwin" and adding a neat four-bar musical quotation from 'Rhapsody in Blue'. Light age-toning, otherwise in very fine condition. A lovely example that would make a fabulous display piece.
